March Favorites

At the end of each month, I’m going to do a monthly favorites, on my top books, tv shows and movies I’ve seen in the particular month.

Tv Shows I watched this month:

  • Gotham
  • Vikings
  • Bitten

Which one was my top choice for the month of March? It was a tough choice between Gotham and Vikings. Both have had a lot of really exciting stuff happen, that had me torn. I have not however been entirely happy with Bitten. It didn’t really start to pick up for me until these last couple episodes, so that’s why it was an easy choice to keep it out of the top spot.

I had to give the number one, March Favorite to, Vikings. The show has had a few twist and turns, that had me shocked! Especially in the last few episodes. Trouble seems to really be stirring on this show, and there’s no telling who going to be killed off next. I can think off four people, maybe five if they season is headed where I think it is, that may get the boot this season. And only one of them I hope gets it. The next episode is called, “The Profit and the Loss” and that could mean anything. And that’s way Vikings gets the top spot for this month.

Movies I watched this month:

  • Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

This month wasn’t particualrly exciting for movies, because I only saw one this month. But it was a great one, aside from a few aspects. While it was a bit slow in the beginning, but once those action sequences hit, it didn’t disappoint. So even though it is the only movie contender in this group, I’m pretty sure if there were other movies here, BvS would l take the top spot.

Books I read this month:

  • Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead
  • Driven by Kelley Armstrong
  • Chain Letter by Christopher Pike
  • How to Run with A Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper
  • Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Two of these books were a great reads, but there was only one that blew my mind, and has me praying she writes another book for this series. And that’s, ‘How to Run with a Naked Werewolf’ by Molly Harper. This book was fantastic! There wasn’t a moment while I was reading that I was thinking, “Am I almost done yet?”, or putting the book done because I didn’t want to read anymore. It was the exact opposite. I was looking at the pages I had left slowly shrinking, and being really sad about it. Also I couldn’t put it down, even when I had to, I couldn’t. It was that good. A high recommend, and the obvious taker of the top spot this month.

Beautiful Darkness is the second installment in the Beautiful Creaturs series, and it centres around Lena dealing with the death of her Uncle, and spirling out of control. While Ethan tries to bring her back, and embarks on his own adventure to find her.

What did I think of the book? I thought it was tedious, and  repeated a lot of the same things. Beautiful Darkness could have easily been at least 100 pages shorter. Ethan and Lena were only together for a short time at the beginning of the novel, with a very brief reunion at the end. I found myself almost rushing through it, just so I could finish it.

Bates Motel S4Ep4 – Lights of Winter Review

Things don’t seem to be boding well for Norman over at Pine View this episode. With his very impressionable mind, he seems to have easily fallen prey to Julian’s corrosive attitude. How much terrible will these two stir up? While Norman and Julian seems to be a troublsum duo, at least two other couples seem to have things going for them.

  • Troublsum Duo
  • Married Bliss
  • Secrets
  • Too soon?

Five stars isn’t a high enough rating to give this book, but the five star rating system is what I go by. When asked on Goodreads what I wanted to give the books, I almost didn’t know what to do, because I was looking for a ten. That’s how good this book was.

  • Release Date: March 25, 2016
  • Running Time: 151 minutes (2hr 31mins)

How best to describe it?” – Alfred.

I loved this movie, but I do have a few complaints. My viewing experience, I saw BvS in IMAX, but wished I saw it in the D-Box seats. I could have used the jolting of the chairs at few moments during the film.

  • Pros: Afflecks Batman, Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Eisenberg’s Lex Luther, and fight sequences.
  • Cons: Superman, Louis, little action.

Spoiler Free. Just little puns.
