Caleb is dead, and Chick offers to dispose of the body at the lake. The Sheriff is beginning to figure out that something is off with Norman, and when she learns that Jim Blackwell not only skipped out on his parole, but he also served time at the same prison as Romero, who she also recently learned escaped. After questioning Norman at the motel, and informing the news of Romero’s escape, she’s left with no answers as to why Jim had the motel’s address, and when he’d been there. After finding no name in the guest registry, the Sheriff leaves.

Norman is in a constant hallucinatic state, and just can’t seem to escape “Mother”. After learning that Jim’s name has disappeared from the registry, Norman and “Mother” go looking for his car that “Mother” had previously hid and hope it dispose of it before the police find it.

Later, Norman and Madeleine have dinner at her house, and while the two start the makings of a cake, they share a kiss. But Norman starts to have another psychotic break, and begins to see flashes of Madeleine on the floor with her throat cut, and flees back to the motel.
