Bates Motel S5Ep7: Inseparable Review/Recap

After killing Sam, Norman is in an almost in a comatose state. He’s unable to function, and “Mother” has to take over and tells Norman he has to dispose of the body. While disposing of Sam’s body, Norman sees the police searching the lake, and pulling out a body. Back at the motel Sheriff Greene informs Norman that they’ve found Jim Blackwells body along with several others. Fearing that it will lead to an investigation of the house, Norman takes Norma’s body into the woods and buries her.

After learning the death of his mother, Dylan returns to White Pine Bay to see Norman and learns from the local pharmacist, while picking up Norman’s medication, that Dr. Edwards has been missing for over a year and he is presumed dead. On his way home, Dylan runs into Madeleine who asks if he’s seen Sam at the motel because he had not returned after their fight the previous night.

When Dylan gets back to the house he asks Norman about whether or no he’s seen Sam, and begs Norman to take his medication beacause he’s not well. Furious “Mother” surfaces, claiming that she can only love one son, and tries to kill Dylan. Intervening, Norman stops “Mother” and pins her down, but Dylan watches on as Norman struggles with himself. Guilt rushes through him, and Norman calls 911 and confess to Sam’s murder.
