Gotham S3Ep16: These Delicate and Dark Obessions Review/Recap

Oswald is alive, and he’s been nursed back to health by Ivy and her miracle work with plants. All healed from his gun shot wound, Oswald is ready to take revenge against Edward, Barbra, Tabitha and Butch. Calling upon old friends, Oswald calls Gabe to help him plan his return to power. But Oswlad is betrayed by Gabe who brings a team of men who tie up Oswald and Ivy, and begin the auction, winner gets to kill Oswald. Ivy however saves the day by subdueing Gabe and his men with her perfume, which gives Oswald his oppurtunity to kill Gabe. Feeling hurt, and betrayed that people only followed him due to fear, and not respect, Oswald is left wondering if there’s anyone left. Ivy once again saves the day by introducing the idea of building a team of freaks.

There’s a secret weapon being transferred to Gotham and very few know it. But those who do, want either a piece of it, or to stop it from getting into the wrong hands. Barbra wants it for herself but is stopped from gathering all the necessary information when an assassin from the Court of Owls shows up and kills everyone, leaving Barabra and Tabitha to escape. Jim however wants stop the weapon from reaching the wrong hands. But while investigating his father’s death, Jim encounters Falcone who was a player in his father’s death, but learns equally shocking news when it’s revealed that his Uncle Frank is the one who organized the hit. Frank is ordered by the Court to kill Jim because he’s learned too much, but Frank instead kills himself which prompts Jim to finally meet with the Court.

Bruce is being held captive where he’s forced by the Shaman to relive the memory of the night his parents are murdered. Forced to undergo the traumatic experience over again, as explained by the Shaman, is to help Bruce become the symbol of hope for Gotham that can put an end to the evil that takes place there. Trying to become the Batman so soon? Hopefully this doesn’t mean Gotham is coming to an end, because the second Bruce decide to become the Bat, it’s over.
